As T. S. Elliot wonderfully said, “the sea has many voices” ... and colors. It is that “silk light” that dominates the Portuguese landscape, with high cliffs and amazing shades of blue adorned with a "rosy-tinted, shimmering, milk-white foam" that inspired this series of images.
With its endless views, rolling hills, forested mountains, dramatic cliffs and picturesque beaches, Portugal is often described as too beautiful to be real. The Portuguese coastline offers a diverse range of landscapes, from the sunny beaches of the Algarve to the dramatic cliffs, bays, and rock formations of the country's wild Atlantic coast.
Last year I traveled along the coastline, and felt amazed by the sheer beauty of this place. The towering cliffs with their rugged edges and varying shades of earthy tones: reds, yellows, and browns stand tall against the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean and offer a unique sight, a surreal and otherworldly atmosphere. As I stood atop the cliffs, I was treated to panoramic views of the sparkling blue waters below, stretching out as far as the eye can see.
